Play On Words Therapy Solutions in Tampa Bay Area offers free speech and language therapy
“Play on Words Therapy Solutions is a small boutique practice providing speech, language, and literacy therapy services for children and their families in the Tampa Bay metro area, including Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk Counties.”
If your child has an IEP and is entering Kindergarten you can receive free speech and language therapy all summer long through a state funded program. Services are provided in your home.
Safe and Sound Swimmers Program

Hosted by Behavioral Progression Inc.
Behavioral Progression, Inc. provides private swim lessons for individuals with and without special needs who may have not been successful with traditional learn-to-swim programs. We allow the child to learn at his/her own pace! This program incorporates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques with learn-to-swim methods to promote water safety and lasting change in swimming skills. Our instructors make every effort to build a stress-free, fun learning environment, with individualization and positive reinforcement in order to encourage swimming success.
- Must be 2 years or older
- No prerequisite skills needed!

Memory Matching
Materials
-Memory Matching Game
OR
-Paper/Cardstock
-Markers, crayons, colored pencils
Instructions:
Play a memory matching game. If you do not have one, create one by following the steps below.
1. Cut paper or cardstock into smaller squares
2. Draw pictures on the squares, two of each
3. Turn all cards face down
4. Take turns flipping over two cards at a time to find matches
Helpful tip: Use 4-8 cards for a child that is new to this skill/activity. Increase the challenge by adding more cards.
Arts & Crafts
Cardboard Art
Materials: -Cardboard box
-Paint (regular or finger paint) and/or markers
-Paint Brushes (optional)
Instructions: 1. Cut the box so it lays flat
2. Turn the cardboard over so any text is on the back, to give you a blank canvas
3. Tape the cardboard so it is hanging up or lay it flat on the ground
4. Draw and/or paint anything you want on the cardboard
5. Get creative!
Helpful tip: Draw different things your child is currently learning about to incorporate skill-building opportunities.

Cooking Activity
Sushi Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
-Tortilla or wrap
-Lunch meat
-Cheese
-Spinach (optional)
-Ranch
Instructions:
1. Stack all ingredients together, starting out with tortilla/wrap
2. Roll up the wrap
3. Cut into slices (with an adults help)
4. Sushi time!
Helpful tip: Fold both sides of tortilla/wrap before rolling to keep ingredients from falling out.
