Cooking Activity

Banana Pop

Here is a great snack idea that has so many different versions!

Ingredients:

- Bananas

- Chocolate/yogurt melts

- Toppings

- Popsicle sticks

Instructions:

1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half

2. Melt the chocolate/yogurt

3. Put the popsicle sticks into the bottom of the bananas (for added security, dip the tip of the popsicle sticks into the chocolate/yogurt before putting it into the bottom of the bananas)

4. Dip the bananas into the chocolate/yogurt

5. Sprinkle your toppings before the chocolate/yogurt hardens - we chose to do use sprinkles and whipped cream!

6. Enjoy this sweet treat!!

Helpful tip: Have your little one practice following step-by-step instructions to complete their simple and delicious banana pop!

Games & Activities

Get some fresh air and teach your child some gardening skills! If you do not have a green thumb, do not worry! Give your little one some gardening tools or even just some sticks and let them play. If you happen to be an expert when it comes to gardening, feel free to give them a pro-lesson (at their current skill level, of course). This activity is bound to be a messy one. Adding some safe water play after the gardening activity is a great way to continue the fun while cleaning off all the dirt.

Summer may be coming to an end, but our Safe & Sound Swimmers programming is in full swing! We are still accepting new clients - it is never too late to sign up for water safety and swim lessons for your children!

Safe and Sound Swimmers Program

Hillsborough, Polk, and Pasco Counties

Hosted by Behavioral Progression Inc.

Behavioral Progression, Inc. provides private swim lessons for individuals with and without special needs who may have not been successful with traditional learn-to-swim programs. We allow the child to learn at his/her own pace! This program incorporates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques with learn-to-swim methods to promote water safety and lasting change in swimming skills. Our instructors make every effort to build a stress-free, fun learning environment, with individualization and positive reinforcement in order to encourage swimming success.

- Must be 2 years or older

- No prerequisite skills needed!
